Palak Tiwari Opens Up About Her ‘Salman Khan Has Strict Rules For Women’ Comment; Says, ‘It’s Something I’m Still Coming On Terms With’

Television actress Shweta Tiwari’s daughter Palak Tiwari made her big Bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan on Friday. Being one of the most favourite star kids on the internet, she often makes it to the headline for her fashion choices and media interactions. A few weeks ago, during an interview she had spoken about how Salman Khan had strict rules for the women he worked with to be fully covered. Her co-stars Pooja Hegde and Shehnaaz Gill had denied Khan ever setting a rule like that.
Now in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the 22-year-old has spoken about the impact that interview left on her. When asked about the aftermath of her viral statement, she explained how she is still learning and that things one says with good intentions, can be turned into something completely inappropriate. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, she said, “I’m still learning that the things you mean with the best of intentions can somehow be turned into something malapropos. It’s something I’m still coming on terms with. You know people don't always want the best for you but I'm sure I'll figure it out.” When further questioned if the equation between her and Salman changed after her statement went viral, Palak said it hadn’t changed anything. For the unversed, the debutante during her interaction with RJ Siddharth Kannan, had said, “When I was AD-ing with Salman sir on Antim, Salman sir had a rule: ‘every girl on my set, the neckline should be here, all the girls should be covered, like good proper girls’.”
On the work front, Palak rose to fame in 2021, after she featured in Harrdy Sandhu’s song Bijlee Bijlee. She was last seen sharing the screen space with Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill and many more in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
